New Idria
Start at Panoche Inn. Ride to New Idria and return Start Location
The Goat Queen plans to inspect all the Out of Area Goats this year in her "queendom." New Idria is hard to get to but I want to make sure this little goat is doing okay. The weather should be mild. Parts of the road to the goat might be washed out but apparently, there are bypasses. The Panoche Inn is closed on Monday so bring all your own food and water. We hope the Porta Potty is left open. John and I will lead from behind and do the ride as posted.

Meet at the lot by the ball field across from CT English Middle School (23845 Summit Rd. Los Gatos) and plan to roll out at 9:10AM. We'll do the climbs in the order listed, and probably stop at the Summit Store for snacks and a bathroom break, either before or just after the drop down to Wrights. Since the goats are all out-and-back, you can skip any - just let me know ahead of time.
AQI>100 cancels ride. All bikes and paces welcome, but there will be no sweep.

Today we'll start from the Immaculate Church in Tres Pinos, head straight from Quien Sabe to its end, then follow Santa Anita to its desiccated conclusion. Bring plenty of bevvy & nosh, for there be little sustenance on this odyssey. Add Cienega or Lone Tree if your fancy tickles. I remember Cienega wistfully; she was blind and owned a refrigerator. She couldn't see the dark, but she could feel the cold. Directions: take Hwy 101 south; exit Highway 25 after Gilroy; Follow 25 to Tres Pinos Church parking lot. Russian Ridge Regional Park,Coal Creek Trail,Alpine Road East,Montebello Regional Park,Skyline Regional Park
This is your chance to add multiple mountain goats to your "herd". Meet at the Russian Ridge parking lot (Skyline at Page Mill/Alpine) ready to ride at 10:00. This ride has a variety of terrains from grasslands to forests, a nice bay vista and even a mile of paved riding. Highlight trails include Ridge, Crazy Pete's, Dirt Alpine, White Oak and Sunny Jim. Restrooms (but no water) are available at the start and mid point (Montebello parking lot), so plan to be self-sufficient. These are MidPen open spaces, so ebikes are not generally allowed. If you are driving up Highway 9 from Saratoga, allow a few minutes for the construction stoplight at Sanborn Rd. This is a no drop ride. Excessive heat or poor air quality will cancel the ride. Rosendin Park
Please join a beginner-level off road fun ride at Rosendin Park on Holiday Drive in Morgan Hill.
This is a non-technical dirt ride for people interested in exploring life off the pavement and is suitable for most bikes. There several intersecting fire road width trails with some small hills. We will do several loops, so we won't ever be too far from starting point.
You can do as many (or few) loops as you like. An example loop is here. This is a good intro for you and/or a guest (including kids) to get a taste of the "other side" of biking.
For planning purposes, please RSVP to the ride leader by June 28 including the number of beginners attending. Also, please consider bringing some snacks/beverages to share after the ride. 30-06-2024 10:00:00 30-06-2024 12:00:00 6 ACTC: TrailRoller - Rosendin Beginners Ride 3 mi, 2 L , 370 ft: Please join a beginner-level off road fun ride at Rosendin Park on Holiday Drive in Morgan Hill.
