*** IMPROMPTU RIDE FOR STATS CREDIT *** Meet at the Pfeiffer Bridge bypass trail between Camp Sites 31 and 32 in Pfeiffer State Park. We will park in Day Use Lot#4 which should be adjacent to the trail head. Parking is $10. It will be a long day so plan to be ready at 9:30. You will need to push and carry your bike on the trail to get to Hy 1. The trail is near a mile and there are 169 steps in 15 different stairs. In between the stairs is a 4 ft wide trail. The hike takes about 1/2 hour. If you aren't wearing mountain bike shoes consider bringing shoes for the hike. We plan to turn around ~25miles. Plan to bring nourishment for the day as we may not stop for an extended time to eat till the end of the ride. The ride will be led at M pace but all paces are welcome as once you get on the road you can't get lost. This ride takes us through west San Jose, over the Mary Street Bridge to the Stevens Creek Trail to Shoreline Park. We will return via Evelyn Street and the Cypress St bike bridge. King Ridge for the Billy Goat Buffs

*** IMPROMPTU RIDE FOR STATS CREDIT *** This loop, called King Ridge, is often on the Levi Leipheimer Grand Fondo. We will drive to Monte Rio to start. It is 55 miles long with 5000 feet of climbing. It features expansive vineyards, dense redwood forests, and a breathtaking cruise to the ocean. Andrew Talansky said of this ride, "It's a stunning ride. You have a little bit of everything. Rural roads with no traffic. Rolling hills. And my favorite part is the drop back down to the ocean—you can see it from miles away and before you know it, you are right there next to the Pacific. It's incredible." Some riders will do this loop faster than others. Molly will be doing it on the slow side, so please do not let the climbing scare you.
