Those wishing to join him at the slower pace are welcome, but no whining about how slow he is. Join us for a fast, fun ride starting in Los Altos, ranging from Los Gatos to Woodside. We ride a different route every week, usually including a Billy Goat or two, such as Mt Eden/Pierce or Moody. The pace can be fast, but we regroup several times a ride. Meet at McKenzie Park on Fremont near the corner of Foothill Expy and Springer.

We warm up with some flat miles through the neighborhoods then pick up the pace to the M level (14-16 mph). The emphasis of the Thursday ride is the added challenge of rated goats in the area to the M pace route. Re-groups at the top of sustained climbs. Triples recommended. Route sheet provided and faster riders are welcome to go off the front. Ride rolls at 6:00 PM sharp. Wet Pavement cancels.

Come ride as many east bay goats as you want in one day. Many options to skip goats to catch up with faster riders or quit early if you are tired. My wife, Sheila, will lead the LM group up a smaller subset of the 10 goats. A checkoff list will be posted at the school so you can get credit for all your goats.

ACTC Riding Academy Graduation Ride

Come and cheer with the dedicated students who are finishing their 12-week ACTC Academy course. Meet at Cabrillo College in Aptos in (temporary) parking lot L. We will climb Hazel Dell on our way to the Gizdich Ranch (for pie) and then continue to Aromas, over to the coast and return to Cabrillo College. The Academy will be hosting a Pizza Graduation Party for all riders afterwards. Everyone is invited! This is a 100k ride with SAG support. The SAGs will be carrying snacks and water and will setup several rest stops along the route. They can carry your excess things so you won't need to be loaded down for this long ride. (Bring a labeled bag.) We need to know how many riders to plan for refreshments during the ride and the PIZZA CELEBRATION at the end. Please contact ride leader Harry Lichtbach by Wednesday, June 7 if you plan to join us for this ride. The ride starts at Cabrillo College (temporary) parking lot L on Soquel Ave, just north of the pedestrian bridge from the Gym. Please contact the ride leader if you need directions. Since this is an Academy ride, it is possible for it to be delayed due to an earlier Academy ride being "weather delayed". Check with the Ride Leader after June 3 to confirm the date.

Special for June! Since Pete is coming back from a long couple of months off the bike, he will be keeping (optimistically) to an MB pace. Those wishing to join him at the slower pace are welcome, but no whining about how slow he is. Join us for a fast, fun ride starting in Los Altos, ranging from Los Gatos to Woodside. We ride a different route every week, usually including a Billy Goat or two, such as Mt Eden/Pierce or Moody. The pace can be fast, but we regroup several times a ride. Meet at McKenzie Park on Fremont near the corner of Foothill Expy and Springer.

Meet at Argonaut Shopping Center on Sunnyvale-Saratoga road east side just south of Pierce in Saratoga. Park on the North end near Mountain Mike's Pizza. We warm up with some flat miles through the neighborhoods then pick up the pace to the M level (14-16 mph). The emphasis of the Thursday ride is the added challenge of rated goats in the area to the M pace route. Re-groups at the top of sustained climbs. Triples recommended. Route sheet provided and faster riders are welcome to go off the front. Ride rolls at 6:00 PM sharp. Wet Pavement cancels.

This is a nice ride with some climbing up and over Shannon, Kennedy and up to Montalvo. The climbs are not difficult. Includes a decent into Los Gatos for coffee or lunch. Meet at the VTA Park ‘n Ride (behind the apartments) at Coleman and Winfield. This is a social ride. No one left behind with regroups and sweep.
