Riding to the Rescue

12:00 PM
15-20 mi, 1 LM

Meet at the church at Leigh and Hamilton, and let's take a flat ride to the Gloria Travis Center, where each Wednesday food is distributed to needy families with children. We can help - volunteers are needed to package and help with the distribution. If we have a lot of volunteers we can also help out in the donation room. The distribution takes place from 1-2:30, then we'll make our way back to the start, stopping for a snack along the way. We should be back no later than 4:00. There will be an area inside to secure the bikes. Flat shoes (i.e., MB shoes with cleats) will be more comfortable than road shoes. Remember: volunteering is good for your soul, biking is good for your soles and we can help our souls and soles at the same time. (I know, pretty lame but I’m trying to make a point.) Come on out for this ride and help InnVision and the George Travis Center help others. Please phone or email me at colette@alumni.calpoly.edu to let me know if you intend to do this ride, as it would help to let them know how many volunteers to expect. Thanks.

A reminder for all our Favorite Kids - call/e-mail for temperature reschedules; carpools; length/goat options. Driving directions from San Jose - Hwy 680 north, exit at Crow Canyon Road; go east about 4 miles to the Crow Canyon and Camino Tassajara intersection in Danville.
